CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - LEIX AND OFFALY ROADS MAINTENANCE.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state the total mileage of roads in Leix and Offaly (separately) under direct labour and contract systems during the years 1922-23, 1923-24, and 1924-25; the number of men employed in each county on direct labour, and the total amount of wages paid (excluding salaries of county and assistant county surveyors) for each year mentioned, and the total cost for work done under the contract system, also the number of men continuously employed on the direct labour system in each county for the three months ending 31st March, 1925.

The information is being obtained and I will communicate it to the Deputy as soon as possible.
