Vol. 12 No. 9

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS ORAL ANSWERS. - SHAW COMMISSION—TIPPERARY AWARD.

asked the Minister for Finance if any part of the award made by the Shaw Commission for the rebuilding of Miss Ryan's premises, St. Michael Street, Tipperary, has been paid, and if he will state under what conditions the payment was made; and whether any of the parties to the award have been relieved of their responsibility in the matter by the acceptance of a lesser sum than the amount awarded for the rebuilding of the premises.

No payment has been made in respect of any portion of the award refered to by the Deputy, the only portion which has yet matured for payment being the allowance made by the Compensation (Ireland) Commission to the landlord for loss of rent. The answer to the latter part of the question is in the negative.
