Vol. 12 No. 19

PRIVATE TEACHTAS' BUSINESS. - RETURN OF RATES FOR CURRENT YEAR.

Motion by Deputy Mícheál O hIfearnáin:—
That a return be laid before the Dáil showing the—
(1) total amount of rates struck in each administrative county for 1925-26;
(2) total amount of rates on agricultural land for each county;
(3) rate per pound (P.L.V.) in each county for—
(a) county charges,
(b) Board of Health charges,
(c) highest rate struck in each county for district charges,
(d) lowest rate struck in each county for district charges.
(e) highest rate in each county for separate charges,
(f) lowest rate in each county for separate charges,
(g) highest rate struck in each county for all purposes,
(h) lowest rate in each county for all charges;
(4) total assessed rate for the whole of the Saorstát.

Before we proceed to the next business, perhaps we could dispose of the motion for a return by Deputy Heffernan. If there is an agreement between the Minister and Deputy Heffernan, the matter can be disposed of at once.

I have discussed the matter with Deputy Heffernan, and the information will be given to him privately.

That means that the motion is not to be moved?

That disposes of the Private Business and allows us to go on without interruption.

Motion not moved.
