Vol. 13 No. 1

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - DAMAGED DOCK WALL AT ARKLOW.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware of the damaged condition of the dock wall at Arklow, and the danger of an extension of the damage during the coming winter; and whether in view of the fact that such a state of affairs would result in the closing of the dock to the fishing fleet, and adversely affect the fishing industry of the East Coast, he will state if it is intended to make funds available for the carrying out of the work of repair.

I have carefully considered the representations made to me on this subject and have sanctioned, subject to certain conditions, a grant of £2,000 towards the cost of repairing the dock wall at Arklow.
