Vol. 13 No. 3

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - LAND BONDS.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state why no steps have yet been taken as to the issue of Land Bonds under the Land Act of 1923 to those persons who have been declared entitled to same by Orders made by the Judicial Commissioner of the Land Commission, and whose names have been inscribed in a ledger in the National Land Bank as owners of such bonds, and whether as these persons are prevented by the non-issue of such bonds from taking any steps to deal with such securities, he will arrange for the bonds to be issued forthwith so that they may become saleable, or may be used as security upon which overdrafts or loans may be obtained.

The Register Certificates to be issued to holders of Land Bonds are in course of printing and it is expected that the Certificates will be in the hands of all persons entitled to them before the end of next month.
