Vol. 13 No. 3

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - MALICIOUS INJURY DECREE.

asked the Minister for Finance whether Mr. Robert Coll, of Elton, Co. Limerick, was awarded a decree for £1,160 for malicious injuries done to his farm in July, 1924, by County Court Judge Pigot; whether the Ministry of Finance appealed against this decree, and whether in June, 1925, the decree was confirmed by Circuit Court Judge Doyle; whether he is aware that Mr. Coll has not received the money awarded to him, and whether he can state when the money will be paid.

The award for £1,160, was I am informed, reduced on appeal to £925. The order made on appeal has not been lodged in my Department.

Can the Minister state when it will be lodged?

I have not the slightest idea.

Who is responsible for lodging it?

I do not know who is responsible for the delay, but it is the duty of the applicant's solicitor to get the appeal drawn up and lodged.
