Vol. 13 No. 9

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - VARIATION OF MOTOR TAXATION.

asked the Minister for Finance whether, as Messrs. Fords, of Cork, is the only firm engaged in the manufacture of motor cars in the Saorstát, he intends to take any steps to vary taxation in favour of Ford cars.

The matter referred to by the Deputy is linked up with the general question of motor taxation in the Saorstát which was the subject of investigation by a Sub-Committee of the Roads Advisory Committee. This Sub-Committee furnished an interim report embodying certain recommendations which are at present under consideration.
