CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - LUCAN TRAMWAY LINE.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he has any information to give to the Dáil in regard to the proposal to re-open the Lucan tramway line by transfer of the undertaking to the Dublin United Tramways Company, Ltd., subject to the assent of the Commissioners for the County Borough of Dublin to an extension of that company's term for the tramways within the City.

This is not a matter in which I am directly concerned. My Department recently acted as mediator in discussions which took place between the Dublin City Commissioners and the Dublin United Tramway Company. It is understood that the City Commissioners have accepted the proposition of the Tramway Company which involves the re-opening of the Lucan line, and the other local authorities concerned are now being communicated with by the company.
