Vol. 14 No. 1

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - LOCAL OFFICERS COMPENSATION ACT.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state how many of the persons named in Part 1 of the Schedule to the Local Officers Compensation (War Period) Act, 1924, are now employed by local authorities in the Saorstát; if he will give the names of such persons, the positions which they now hold, and the names of the authorities by which they are employed.

So far as my Department is at present aware, the only person mentioned in the Schedule referred to who is now employed by a local body in An Saorstát is Mr. Francis McNamara. I am informed that he is employed by the County Wicklow Joint Technical Instruction Committee as Vice-Principal of the Arklow Technical School and Commercial Instructor.
