Vol. 14 No. 1

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - PORTARLINGTON POSTMASTERSHIP.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he can state the reasons for the delay in filling the vacant position of postmaster at Portarlington, Leix, and if, in view of the alleged unsatisfactory working and dissatisfaction amongst the local staff, he will issue instructions for the appointment of postmaster without further delay.

I regret that unavoidable delay has occurred in connection with the vacancy at the Portarlington Post Office, and I hope to be in a position to proceed with an appointment without further delay.
