Vol. 14 No. 3

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - DESTRUCTION OF KILWORTH (CO. CORK) HOUSE.

asked the Minister for Finance whether the claim of Mrs. Noonan, Newmarket Street, Fermoy, Co. Cork, for compensation for the destruction of her house and household effects at Monedresnane, Kilworth, Co. Cork, in 1920, has been investigated by the Wood-Renton or other Commission; if an award has been made, and, if so, whether payment of the award will be expedited.

The claim referred to by the Deputy would appear to be that lodged by Mrs. Margaret Noonan in respect of the destruction of household goods at Monadrisnane, Kilworth, Co. Cork, on the 31st May, 1919. This claim was duly considered by the Compensation (Ireland) Commission in the first quarter of 1924, and was ruled by them to be outside the scope of their terms of reference. Due notice of their ruling is presumed to have been issued by the Commission to the claimant or her solicitor.
