Vol. 14 No. 6

ENFORCEMENT OF COURT ORDERS BILL, 1926—FIRST STAGE.

I ask leave to introduce and to have printed and circulated a Bill entitled the Enforcement of Court Orders Bill, 1926, which makes provision for the enforcement and execution of the judgments and decrees of the various courts set up under the Court of Justice Act, 1924. A temporary measure dealing with the execution of court judgments, passed in 1924, was continued by the Enforcement of Law (Occasional Powers) (Continuance) Act, 1925, and will be continued until 31st March of this year. The Bill which I now introduce will be a permanent measure.

Leave was given, and it was ordered that the Second Stage be taken on Tuesday, 23rd February.
