asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if he can state what was the percentage increase in prices of Irish agricultural produce, weighted and averaged for the year 1925, as compared with 1914.

Taking the index number for 1900, the basic year, as 100, the index number of the prices of Irish agricultural products complied from the average prices of thirteen Irish agricultural products weighted in accordance with their importance, showed an increase of 20.3 per cent. in 1914 and 84.1 per cent. in 1925. The percentage increase in 1925 as compared with 1914 was therefore 53.
