Mr. MURPHY (for Eamon O Dubhghaill)

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if he can state whether the Land Commission proposes to acquire the lands at Castlegrace, in the possession of Mrs. Murphy (known as Murphy & Sons), Tullow, Co. Carlow, on the Brown Clayton Estate, for division amongst uneconomic holders and landless men.

On the schedule of particulars lodged for the Brown Clayton Estate under the Land Act, 1923, Mary J. Murphy was returned by the owner as tenant of part of the lands of Castlegrace, containing 168 acres, 1 rood, 20 perches, at the judicial rent of £65. The Land Commission propose to retain this holding pursuant to Section 28, sub-section (6) (d), of the Act.
