Vol. 16 No. 16

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - COST OF POSTMEN'S OUTFITS.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state the cost of the following articles of uniform clothing supplied to postmen, viz.:—(a) tunic, (b) trousers, (c) overcoat, (d) cape, (e) vest, (f) cap, and (g) waterproof cycle leggins.

Articles of uniform clothing supplied to postmen are obtained by competitive tender, and in the circumstances it would be prejudicial to the public interest to furnish particulars of the prices paid. I regret, therefore, that the information asked for cannot be supplied.

Could the Minister supply the information privately?

I do not think so.
