Vol. 16 No. 21

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - BALLINTRILLICK (CO. SLIGO) DISTRESS.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether, in view of the unemployment and distress in the Ballintrillick area of County Sligo, he can take any steps to secure the re-opening of the barytes mine and mills, owned by the Gleniff Barytes Co., Ltd., of 95 Bath Street, Glasgow, which have been closed down since 1919.

There is no power vested in me which would enable me to secure the re-opening of the industry referred to in the question.
