WIRELESS TELEGRAPHY BILL, 1926—FINAL STAGES.

I move the following amendment:—

"In page 4, Section 6 (3), to delete all words from the word `fixing' in line 56 to the word `fee' in line 58 and substitute the words `in relation to fees.' "

This amendment is inserted at the request of the Minister for Finance with a view to securing that that Department shall exercise the necessary financial control over the collection of fees and that there will be no departure from the existing practice.

Amendment put and agreed to.

I move another amendment as follows:—

"In page 6, Section 9 (1), (f), line 16, to add after the word "aforesaid" at the end of the paragraph the words "and the collection and disposal of such fees."

This amendment has the same purpose in view as the previous one.
