Vol. 18 No. 1

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CO. MEATH ESTATES.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether he will state what steps, if any, have been taken by the Land Commission to acquire the estate of Samuel McKeever (U.1973), at Ladyrath, Co. Meath, for distribution among the forty uneconomic holders on the De Bathe Estate and whether same will be divided early in the coming spring, and whether he will state when the appointed day on the De Bathe Estate (B.811) will be named.

Mr. HOGAN

The lands at Ladyrath comprising 224a. 2r. 10p., were published on the 10th instant in a Provisional List of lands which would, if not excluded in consequence of a valid objection, vest in the Land Commission on the appointed day.

Particulars of the estate of Sir Hugo G. de Bathe, County Meath, have been lodged in the Land Commission, and having regard to the number of other estates, particulars in respect of which were lodged at earlier dates, it is not possible at present to say when this estate will be reached in its order to be dealt with under the Land Act, 1923.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether the Land Commission has acquired the estate of Roundtree lands of Mullagha, Co. Meath, for distribution, and, if so, whether he can state when the said lands will be allotted.

Mr. HOGAN

The Land Commission have published in a Provisional List the lands of Mullagha, comprising 309a. Or. 20p., as lands which would, if not excluded in consequence of a valid objection, become vested in the Land Commission on the appointed day.

The owner has lodged an objection to the acquisition of the lands, and the matter is at present pending for hearing by the Commissioners.
