Vol. 18 No. 2

ORDUITHE AN LAE. - MEDICAL (No. 2) BILL, 1926—THIRD, FOURTH AND FIFTH STAGES.

The Dáil went into Committee.
Section 1 put and agreed to.
SECTION 2, SUB-SECTION (3)
The Principal Act shall not be continued in force after the 21st day of May, 1927, by orders made under this section and accordingly not more than three orders may be made by the Executive Council under this section.

I move to amend this sub-section by substituting "June" for "May" and by substituting in the next line for the word "three" the word "four."

Amendment put and agreed to.
Question—"That the section, as amended, stand part of the Bill"—put and agreed to.
Section 3 and the Title put and agreed to.
The Dáil went out of Committee.

In the light of the discussion yesterday I wonder would there be any objection to the House taking the remaining stages to-day? The matter of urgency was pleaded yesterday; the date to which we must work was clearly indicated, and the one doubtful point is what days the Seanad would be sitting between this and the 14th day of February. I would ask the House to take the remaining two stages to-day.

Ordered—"That the Fourth and Fifth Stages of the Medical (No. 2) Bill, 1926, be taken to-day."

Question—"That the Bill be received for Final consideration"—put and agreed to.
Question—"That the Bill do now pass"—put and agreed to.
