The notification of vacancies and appointments in "Iris an Phuist" is a departmental notification and is printed in Irish only for the purpose of encouraging the Post Office staff to learn Irish. In response to these notifications there have been ample applications for vacant posts, and I see no reason for altering the practice, which is not considered unconstitutional.
