Vol. 18 No. 4

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - OUTSTANDING LAND ANNUITIES IN CLARE.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if he will state what is the total amount of Land Annuities outstanding in County Clare to date, and what is the amount of Agricultural Grant withheld because of these arrears of Land Annuities.

The amount of Land Purchase Annuities under the Land Purchase Acts, 1891-1923, in County Clare outstanding on 31st ult. in respect of all gales up to and including the December, 1926, gale is £42,692 approximately.

The second portion of the question is one for the Department of Finance.

Mr. HOGAN

Does the Minister consider that the introduction of Land Bill (No. 2) is an opportune time to remove the injustice of putting on the entire ratepaying community the default of some people who would not pay their annuities and some who could?

The Deputy will have to wait for the Minister for Agriculture to answer that.
