Vol. 18 No. 4

WRITTEN ANSWER. - REJECTED CORK COMPENSATION CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state why a claim for compensation lodged by Mr. Michael Foley, tailor, St. Patrick's Quay, Bandon, County Cork (Ref. No. 406/95/5154), was rejected, and if this decision will be reconsidered.

The claim referred to by the Deputy was duly considered by the Committee set up under the Indemnity Act, 1924. The Committee reported that the case was not one in which they could recommend the payment of compensation and no payment can, therefore, be made by my Department.
