Vol. 18 No. 14

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - COLONEL HARTNEY ESTATE (MEATH).

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether the tenants on the Colonel Hartney Estate, Moynalvey, County Meath, have already paid seven half-yearly payments in lieu of rent, and whether he is now in a position to state the date of the Appointed Day for this estate.

Mr. HOGAN

Particulars of the rental of the 18 holdings situate in the townlands of Moynalvey, etc., on the estate of Richard Arthur Hartley in Counties Meath and Dublin have been lodged with the Land Commission, to enable the Commissioners to collect from the tenants compounded arrears of rent and payment in lieu of rent under the Land Act, 1923. The further particulars, including schedules, maps, etc., to enable the lands to be vested in the Land Commission on the Appointed Day have also been lodged, but owing to the large number of other estates in which the particulars were lodged at earlier dates it is not possible at present to say when this estate may be reached in its order and the Appointed Day fixed. When reached, the estate will be dealt with as expeditiously as possible.
