Vol. 18 No. 16

WRITTEN ANSWER. - CO. MAYO GRAZING LANDS.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if he can state what steps the Land Commission have taken for the purpose of having the large grazing ranch held by Mr. Martin Curran, known as Ballykinave Farm, Claremorris, County Mayo, acquired and divided amongst the uneconomic tenants in the townlands of Ballykinave, Meelickmore, Meelickbeg and Tootagh, whose valuations are under £5.

Mr. HOGAN

The lands of Ballykinave (which are subject to a land purchase annuity) have been inspected, and the Commissioners are taking steps with a view to their acquisition under the Land Act, 1923.
