asked the Minister for Finance whether he has yet received the report of the Committee appointed to advise regarding the designs for the new Free State coinage; if so, whether it is his intention to publish the report; and whether, before the suggested designs are definitely decided upon, an opportunity will be afforded to the Dáil and the public of expressing their opinions thereon.

A report was received from the Committee in August last, and I understand that a further report is about to be submitted. It is not proposed to publish either report. It is not proposed to afford an opportunity to the Dáil or the public of expressing their opinion on the designs until after they have been definitely decided upon.
