Dáil Éireann debate -
Thursday, 10 Mar 1927

Vol. 18 No. 17

PRIVATE BUSINESS. - DUBLIN PORT AND DOCKS (BRIDGE) BILL, 1927.

As regards Private Business, a motion was put down for consideration on Tuesday for the appointment of a Joint Committee of both Houses to deal with the Dublin Port and Docks (Bridge) Bill, 1927, and the debate on that motion was adjourned until to-day. Through inadvertence, that particular motion for the purpose of the adjourned debate does not appear on the Order Paper to-day. As I have indicated, an order was made for the consideration of the matter to-day and, of course, it can be considered to-day if necessary.

I have no objection to taking the matter to-day, but I ask that it be considered as Item 3— that it be considered after we have disposed of item No. 1 and item No. 2 on to-day's Order paper.

Deputy Hewat, who is in charge of this matter, not seeing the item on to-day's Order Paper, may not be here in time.

In that event, I have no objection to the matter being left over until to-morrow.

It might be better to have it postponed until to-morrow, when it will appear on the Orders of the Day.

Ordered accordingly.
