Vol. 19 No. 9

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - TEMPORARY POSTAL ASSISTANTS.

asked the Minister for Finance whether temporary Post Office assistants in the Department of Posts and Telegraphs will be eligible to compete in the competitive examination to be held in May next, confined to temporary clerical officers, for appointments to the established clerical officer class.

Officers of the class referred to will not be eligible to compete at the forthcoming limited competition for clerical officers unless they come within the category of those who entered for the limited competition for clerical officers held by the Civil Service Commissioners in June-July, 1925, and were prevented by illness or some other cause, which the Commissioners may deem sufficient, from attending at or completing that examination.
