Vol. 19 No. 12

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - ACQUISITION OF LANDS (TIPPERARY).

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if it is the intention of the Irish Land Commission to acquire the lands of Major Phillips, Gaile, Cashel, for the purpose of division, and, if so, whether he will state what steps have been taken towards that end.

Mr. HOGAN

The Land Commission have instituted proceedings for the purchase of the untenanted lands of Gaile and Peake, Co. Tipperary, the property of Major Phillips, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1923, and it is anticipated that an offer for the purchase of same will be issued to the owner at an early date.
