Vol. 19 No. 20

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - COMMITTEE ON ROAD TRAFFIC.

TOMAS MAC EOIN

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether the Inter-Departmental Committee on Road Traffic is expected to report upon the future relationships between road, rail, canal, and overseas transport; what persons and organisations will be invited to submit evidence to the Committee; and whether such evidence will be given before public sittings of the Committee.

The Committee is not expected to report on the matters referred to in the first part of the question; they are clearly not within the terms of reference given in the Minister's statement to An Dáil on the 27th ultimo. The question regarding the persons and organisations who will be invited to submit evidence is a matter for the Committee. The Committee intend to hear evidence at public sittings.
