Vol. 19 No. 22

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - POLLOCK ESTATE, GALWAY.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether any steps have been taken to acquire the 4,548 acres of land on the Pollock Estate, County Galway, for the relief of congestion, and which the Minister has already stated in reply, would be inspected as soon as practicable.

Mr. HOGAN

As already stated in reply to this Deputy's previous question the Land Commission have acquired some 3,780 acres of untenanted land on this Pollock estate. The representation of the remaining lands as untenanted is in dispute. They have already been inspected and valued by the Land Commission, and the necessary proceedings are in course to define their character.
