Vol. 19 No. 25

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - KILDARE UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFIT CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he will state the reasons why Unemployment Insurance Benefit has not been paid to Robert Ivors, Pluckerstown, Kilmeague, Co. Kildare (Serial No. 4704), Droichead Nua Branch Office, who lodged a claim to benefit on the 24th March, 1927.

A claim to Unemployment Benefit made by Robert Ivors, of Pluckerstown. Kilmeague, Co. Kildare, on the 24th March last was disallowed by the Insurance Officer on the ground that the statutory conditions specified in Section 7 (i), (ii) and (iii) of the Unemployment Insurance Act, 1920, were not fulfilled. The claimant having been notified of this decision, appealed to the Court of Referees, whose recommendation is being further considered in the light of fresh facts which have come to light since the case was first before the Court.
