CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - ENTERTAINMENTS TAX AT RACE MEETINGS.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the total sum derived by way of revenue from the Entertainments Tax from the beginning of the financial year up to the 30th June last, and if he will state how much of this sum is derived from Entertainments Tax paid on racecourses.

The net amount of revenue received from all sources in respect of Entertainments Duty during the period 1st April, 1927, to 30th June, 1927, is £30,407, and of this amount the sum of £3,085 represents the duty on payments for admission to racecourses.
