Vol. 20 No. 7

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - APPLICATIONS FOR RETIREMENT UNDER TREATY.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the number of applicants at present awaiting sanction for retirement under Article 10 of Treaty, and when sanction will be granted.

The number of applications for compensation under Article 10 of the Treaty now awaiting decision is 390. The date at which action can be taken to determine these cases is dependent on the general consideration of the position created by the recent legal proceedings, but, as indicated in my reply to the preceding question, there will be no avoidable delay in the matter.
