Vol. 20 No. 8

MONEY RESOLUTION.—DENTISTS BILL, 1927.

The Dáil went into Committee on Finance.

I move:—

"Go bhfuil sé oiriúnach a údarú go n-íocfar amach as airgead a sholáthróidh an tOireachtas aon chostaisí fé n-a raghfar chun aon Acht den tSiosón so do chur in éifeacht chun socrú do dhéanamh chun daoine a chleachtann Fiaclóireacht no Máinliaghacht Fiacal do chlárú agus do rialú agus chun crícheanna eile bhaineas le cleachta Fiaclóireachta no Máinliaghachta Fiacal agus leis na daoine atá ag gabháil don chleachta san."

"That it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys to be provided by the Oireachtas of any expenses incurred in carrying into effect any Act of the present Session to make provision for the registration and control of persons practising Dentistry or Dental Surgery and for other purposes relating to the practice of Dentistry or Dental Surgery, and the persons engaged in such practice."

The Message prescribed by the Constitution has been received from His Excellency. It is intended that the same Registrar and Office Staff will serve for the administration of this Bill, when it becomes law, as for the Medical Bill, when it has passed into law. Accordingly it becomes difficult to give any separate estimate of the expenditure in connection with administration costs under the Bill. It is probable that the expenses of the Dentists' and the Medical Registration under these Bills for one year will be £2,300 odd.
