Vol. 20 No. 12

PUBLIC BUSINESS. - THE ADJOURNMENT.

I should like to say a few words——

With regard to Local Government administration.

The Deputy has given no notice of that. We will have to take it next Tuesday.

I understood that I had given notice to raise on the adjournment to-day this matter of the county medical officers of health.

If the Deputy had told me at any time to-day that he wanted to raise this matter this evening, it could have been arranged. It was decided not to raise it on the Appropriation Bill, and my understanding was that it was to be raised at some future date on the adjournment. I think that that would be by far the simplest procedure to adopt, because the Minister for Local Government would have notice, and a better discussion would be ensured.

We agree to that.

The Dáil adjourned at 3.35 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26th.
