Vol. 20 No. 13

PUBLIC BUSINESS. - THE COURTS OF JUSTICE BILL, 1927—FIRST STAGE.

I move for leave to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to extend by nine months the time limited by Section 46 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1924, for the appointment of temporary Assistant Circuit Judges. It will be necessary to have this Bill passed before the Dáil adjourns. I will explain on the Second Reading the necessity for the Bill.

For the last couple of minutes Deputies on the back benches found it very difficult to hear what was going on, and through you, sir, I would request Deputies to speak up. In doing this I am voicing the opinion of several Deputies on the back benches.

I am afraid I have no jurisdiction over Deputies' voices.

Leave given to introduce Bill.

Bill read a First Time.

Second Stage ordered for July 27th.
