Vol. 20 No. 19

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - RATES LEVIED IN CO. TIPPERARY.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health to state (1) the total amount of rates levied in Tipperary South Riding and Tipperary North Riding for all local purposes in the years 1913, 1914, 1917, 1919, 1921, 1923, and 1926; (2) the total amount of rates levied in each of those administrative counties in the same years on agricultural lands, and (3) the total amount of grants from Government sources in regard to the above administrative counties for the same years for all local purposes.

Steps have been taken to compile the figures asked for and as soon as they are available the Deputy will be communicated with.

Will the Minister see, when they are available, that they are included in the Official Report for the information of Deputies?

Is any extra staff needed to deal with this question?

I do not think so. I will see what we can do to include the reply in the Official Report.

Even if there is a question of extra staff involved is not the matter of sufficient importance to warrant the employment of extra staff?

I do not know.
