Vol. 20 No. 20

PUBLIC BUSINESS. - VOTE No. 52—DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE.

I am not moving this Vote to-day.

Can the President give the House any indication as to what his intentions are with regard to this Vote or can he say if it is his intention to move it at a later date?

That depends upon circumstances of which notice has been given to-day. If the conclusion of these circumstances is that it is my responsibility to move this Vote I will give early notice on the matter.

When will it be brought before the House—can the House be informed when Vote 52 will be brought before it?

There is a prior question which I understood the Deputy was interested in.

No; I thought that was the question.

No, the prior question is to be decided first. Whoever is President of the Executive Council after the discussion of which we have been given notice to-day will be the person to whom that query ought be addressed.

Well, the first is a far more interesting and important question than the second.
