Vol. 21 No. 4

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - ACQUISITION OF ESTATE.

asked the Minister for Fisheries if the Land Commission have taken over the estate of Fr. Manly, situated at Corrydonnellan and Rathowen Edward; if they are taking into consideration the claims of the labourers occupying the ten Union cottages adjoining the estate, also the claims of the landless people in the village of Rathowen for a cow-park, and the necessity of leaving a pass through the estate to Major Murray's bog.

Proceedings for the acquisition of the lands referred to are pending under the Land Act, 1923, but the lands have not yet been acquired by the Land Commission. The matters referred to will be fully considered by the Commissioners when they are dividing the lands.
