Vol. 21 No. 8

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - WINE LICENCE-HOLDERS' STOCKS.

asked the Minister for Justice whether any extension of time under the Intoxicating Liquor Act, 1927, has been granted to the holders of wine licences beyond the 30th September, 1927, to clear their stocks, and if so, whether he will state the period of such extension and by whom it has been granted.

In response to representations from the Provision Grocers' Wine Protection Association, 1927, as to the difficulty of disposing of stocks of wine in the hands of members of their Association, the police were officially instructed to refrain from prosecutions until after Christmas next, on the definite understanding that no fresh stocks would be acquired by the traders concerned.
