CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CO. MEATH ESTATES.

asked the Minister for Fisheries if he will state what is the position of the following estates in County Meath, viz.:—(1) the Buchanan Estate (V.520), Commons, Navan; (2) the Pentony Estate (V.5187), Grange Bective, Navan; (3) the estate of the late Julia Pentony, Ballybatter or Balreask, New Kilcairne, Navan.

The Land Commission made an offer for the purchase of the lands of Commons and Mullaghboy, on the Buchanan Estate, Navan. This offer was refused by the owner, and the question of the acquisition of the lands is at present being further considered.

As regards the estates of Pentony, Grange Bective, Navan, and the late Julia Pentony, Ballybatter or Balreask, the question of their acquisition is at present being considered by the Land Commission.
