Vol. 21 No. 14

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - RE-VALUATION OF DUNGOLMAN DRAINAGE AREA (WESTMEATH).

asked the Minister for Finance if he will have a re-valuation made of the Dungolman (County Westmeath) drainage area.

It is presumed that by the word "re-valuation" is meant a reassessment of the incidence of the charges on the proprietors of benefited land in the Dungolman Drainage District in respect of the works of restoration recently carried out in the district under the Drainage Maintenance Act, 1924. These charges, and also the annual maintenance rates, are assessed on the decimal proportions set out in the final award for the district, dated 29th September, 1852, which is conclusive and binding and cannot be altered.
