Vol. 21 No. 17

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - DIVISION OF CORK LANDS.

asked the Minister for Fisheries if the lands of Ahanesh, Midleton, County Cork, have been taken over by the Land Commission, and, if so, when it is intended to divide those lands, and if he will give preference to landless men in the districts, when they are being allocated.

It is assumed the Deputy refers to the lands of Ballyvodock, on which are situate the residences known as Ahanesk House. The Land Commission are resuming 126 acres of this townland in the occupation of Mrs. Jeffreys as tenant on the estate of Morton Jackson which is pending for sale under the Land Act, 1923. The lands will be divided amongst the classes of persons eligible for allotment under the Land Act, 1923.
