Vol. 22 No. 3

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CONDEMNED KERRY WELL.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he is aware that a well in the townland of Cleanderies, Causeway, County Kerry, which supplies twenty families, has been condemned by the local medical officer; that the County Council Board of Health have not acted upon that condemnation; and whether the Minister proposes to take any steps in this matter.

This matter has not come to the notice of the Department. A report is, however, being obtained from the local medical officer of health.

Mr. O'LEARY

Is the Minister aware that several of these public health works in North Kerry, as well as repairs to labourers' cottages, are not being carried out on account of the breakdown in the engineering system, and will he take steps to allow the Board of Health to appoint engineers to have these works carried out?

I will be glad to receive any representations that the Deputy may have to make on the matter.
