Vol. 22 No. 3

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CO. KERRY AUXILIARY POSTMAN.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he is aware that John Costigan, who has had fourteen years' service as auxiliary rural postman at the Annascaul Post Office, County Kerry, is now performing the duties of an established postman at the office, and has been doing so far some time; and whether, in view of this man's long service, he will now consider his establishment.

Mr. Costigan has been temporarily performing the duties of an established postman at Annascaul pending the appointment of an officer with the necessary Civil Service certificate. Under the Civil Service Regulation Acts he cannot be considered for an established position.
