Vol. 22 No. 3

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - IMPROVEMENT OF LAND IN COUNTY MEATH.

asked the Minister for Fisheries why a grant has not been made from the fund for the improvement of land to the tenants on the Howard-Bury Estate, situated at Tyrrellspass, County Meath.

It is assumed that the question refers to the estate of Lady Howard-Bury, situate in County Offaly, which is being dealt with under the Land Act, 1923. The Land Commission have sanctioned a grant for the drainage of the tenanted holdings in the townland of Derrycoffey on this estate. This work was proceeded with during the past summer and will be continued as soon as weather conditions permit.

May I point out that this estate is in County Westmeath?
