Vol. 22 No. 13

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - UNTENANTED LANDS, FENAGH, CARLOW.

asked the Minister for Fisheries whether he is aware that the untenanted lands at Lumclone, Fenagh, Co. Carlow, owned by Mrs. Whitcroft and others, have not yet been acquired by the Land Commission; and whether he will now state when the appointed day will be fixed for the tenants on the estate.

A formal offer has recently been issued to the owners of this estate for the purchase of 99 acres of untenanted lands in the townland of Drumclone.

As regards the tenanted portion of this estate, it is anticipated that the provisional list of holdings which will, if not excluded in consequence of a valid objection, become vested in the Land Commission on the appointed day will be published at an early date, but it is not possible at present to say when the final list will be published.
