Vol. 22 No. 13

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - DAIL LOAN SUBSCRIPTIONS.

asked the Minister for Finance if the subscription of £10 to the Dáil Loan by the late Mr. Francis McGrath, Thornbury, Kill, will now be repaid to his executors; also the amount contributed by Mr. John Keogh, Sucheen, Ballymore-Eustace, County Kildare.

There is no record in my Department of any subscription to the Dáil Eireann Internal Loan by the late Mr. McGrath, and the evidence submitted by the executors in support of the application for repayment of the subscription shows that it was made to the funds of Oglaigh na hEireann. They have been informed that the amount does not come within the provisions of the Dáil Eireann Loans and Funds Act, 1924.

Authority for the repayment of the amount subscribed by Mr. John Keogh will be given to the Department of Posts and Telegraphs at an early date.
