Vol. 22 No. 17

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - DONEGAL OLD AGE PENSION CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health on what grounds an old age pension was refused to Mr. Joseph McCobb, Errity, Manorcunningham, County Donegal, in view of the fact that he has twice been informed that payment of the pension has been sanctioned.

An appeal was decided in this case on the 6th instant. It was determined that the claimant was not entitled to any pension as it was not clear on the evidence submitted that his means, as calculated for old age pension purposes, were within the statutory limit (£39 5s. a year) for the receipt of a pension.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health on what grounds the old age pension was refused to Mr. Daniel Brennan, Maraughmeelan, Dungloe, County Donegal.

This claim came up on appeal in January last. It was determined on the 28th ultimo that the claimant was not entitled to an old age pension as it was not clear on the evidence submitted that he had attained the statutory age.
