Vol. 22 No. 17

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - PUBLICATION OF PROSPECTUS.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state by whose instructions the publication of the Prospectus of the Agricultural Credit Corporation, Ltd., was confined to the three morning papers in the Free State to the exclusion of the provincial weekly newspapers; and why readers of the provincial newspapers were not afforded an opportunity of investing their savings in this Government guaranteed stock yielding five per cent. interest.

The Board of the Agricultural Credit Corporation have sole responsibility for the publication of the prospectus of the Corporation and it was on their instructions that the publication was confined to three morning papers in the Saorstát I do not, however, consider that readers of provincial newspapers were thereby debarred from investing in the shares of the Corporation.

Can the Minister say if the flotation has been a success —have all the shares been taken up?

The Deputy must put down another question to the Minister in regard to that.
